South Well Field & Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project

After a drought when the nearby Smoky Hill River nearly ran dry, the City of Salina, Kansas sought  a new water supply solution. Under a progressive design-build contract, CAS Constructors, along with design partner Burns & McDonnell, are helping the City realize a reliable water supply.

The project includes a new 3.5 MGD water treatment plant, wellfield improvements, and system connections. The water treatment plant features a high service pump station, clearwell, filter building, and chemical building. Wellfield improvements included rehabilitation of four city wells.
